Premier League's Top Spenders This Transfer Window

Plenty of clubs were splashing the cash.

Premier League clubs have broken their transfer spending record for a season in the summer window alone.


Estimates from Deloitte’s sports business group show gross spending this summer of £1.9B ($2.2B), surpassing by £487.8M ($564.1M) the previous record, spent across the summer and January windows of the 2017-18 season.

 


 

The top spending teams this window are:

  • Chelsea - £278.4m

  • Manchester United - £227.4m

  • West Ham - £179.15m

  • Tottenham - £172m

  • Nottingham Forest - £157.25m

  • Manchester City - £128.8m

  • Newcastle - £123m
